Math Updates

Dear Parents,

A very Wonderful Lunar New Year to All!
For Math, we have completed:
Unit 1 - Numbers to 10
Unit 2 - Number Bonds
Unit 3 - Addition within 10
Unit 4 - Subtraction within 10 (by the end of this week)

There will be a Class Test for Units 3 & 4 next Thursday, 25th Feb.
Pupils will need to hand Math Workbook 1A Part 2 by this week.

Chinese New Year Celebration

At the Farm

Next week, the pupils will write about a farm. To give the pupils some ideas of what a farm is like, this is a video clip of a farm.

English Quiz 2 / The Red Rose

There will be a second English Quiz next week. The English files were returned to the pupils today. There are four sets of worksheets in them.

This week, the pupils read a new Big Book 'The Red Rose'.

Hairy Bear

After reading the Big Book, 'Hairy Bear', the pupils worked in pairs to come up with an alternative ending to the story. They drew a picture to replace the last page of the book and some of them added in speech balloons to show what the bears were saying. Some of the pupils also shared with the class what their alternative ending was.

I was unable to give out the individual pupils' photos by today as they were given to me rather late and I needed to cut out one piece per pupil for the Report Book.  The photos will be given out to the pupils on Monday.
